Harvard Medical – Seeley G. Mudd Building

One of three biomedical research buildings that form the West Quad of Harvard Medical School. Named in honor of the late Seeley G. Mudd of Los Angeles, who graduated from the Med School in 1924 cum laude.

Scaffolding and Sidewalk Protection for Renovation of Harvard Medical's Mudd Building

Commonwealth Scaffold constructed a perimeter scaffolding system providing total access to the exterior of Harvard Medical School's Seeley G. Mudd Building at 250 Longwood Avenue for renovations including full building window replacements planned for the summer.

The school has a large and distinguished faculty to support its missions of education, research, and clinical care. These faculty hold appointments in the basic science departments on the HMS Quadrangle, and in the clinical departments located in multiple Harvard-affiliated hospitals and institutions in Boston. There are approximately 2,900 full- and part-time voting faculty members consisting of assistant, associate, and full professors, and over 5,000 full or part-time, non-voting instructors. The school is the third-oldest medical school in the United States.
